DREAM & CREATE

Tommy Tsunami Design, LLC, formerly Bauen Group Architecture, LLC, is the culmination of 35 years of architectural design experience creating custom homes, cutting edge medical office facilities, restaurants, office buildings and multi-family developments.
Tommy is now focusing his design on residential single-family homes, small commercial buildings, and home products. The architecture to be created will focus on simple, elegant, functional, and beautiful solutions. It will be architecture that addresses, promotes, and responds to the site and region where it is constructed and enhances the connections between people and their natural and built environment.

1 PreDesign

Predesign explores your needs, ideas, and expectations that you have for your project. This phase is the beginning of turning your dream into reality. Getting to know you, understanding your vision and your project site, is crucial to a successful partnership and unique design.

Pre Design

2 Schematic Design

Schematic design gathers the information necessary to create a conceptual design for the project. Drawings developed during schematic design, include a site plan, floor plan, initial 3D modeling and conceptual elevations. This phase explores ideas and is typically illustrated by a mixture of hand sketches and diagrams.

 3 Design Development

Design Development is an expansion and further development of Schematic Design. It is at this stage that the project starts to become finalized with respect to the design components. Design Development might include several design consultants if necessary to assist with grading and drainage, mechanical equipment, lighting design and structural design. For the client to understand the project visually, a 3D model is created.

4 Construction Documents

Construction documents are the drawings, details and specifications needed to construct the project. Construction documents need to be organized with detailed information for the contractor and subcontractors. This is the set of final technical drawings.

5 Construction Administration

The relationship with the contractor is critical to achieving design quality and intent. Construction Administration tasks include site visits, answering questions and providing feedback during the construction process.

6 Vision to Reality

From the beginning to the end, Tommy will ensure that your project is handled with the utmost attention to detail. Satisfaction for every client and their unique project is important. Lifelong friendships….PRICELESS!
